Q: Are your trainings provided in person or online?
A: Our training can be held online or in person, depending on what works best for the organization we are serving. So far, our in-person trainings have fostered in depth discussions among staff that promotes a better understanding of how our programming works, and where the needs are in our communities.
Q: How long are trainings, typically?
A: The length of the trainings are 1-2 hours for HT 101: Identify and Report, 2-3 hours for Project ROOTS Implementation, and 3.5-4-hour session for both trainings combined, subject to organizational and community capacity and training needs.
Q: How many staff members are needed for a training to take place?
A: The number of staff present at our training varies from partner to partner. We have facilitated trainings with 2 to 40 program staff. We’re flexible!
Q: How do we gain access to your toolkit?
A: You can request a your own copy of our toolkit under the Contact Us section of our website. We can also bring a sample hard copy of our toolkit to our training with you for staff to review.
Q: How long do ROOTS Sessions typically last?
A: ROOTS sessions are typically 1-1.5 hours long, 1x per week. The length of our programming can vary from 10-14 weeks, subject to organizational and community capacity and training needs.
Q: What is the typical age group for ROOTS groups?
A: Our ROOTS groups can be tailored for all youth, ages 8-18.
Q: Do we have to pay for a Project ROOTS toolkit or our training sessions?
A: No! Our ROOTS toolkits and training sessions are free to the community.
